Migration of SAP Business Objects to Power BI Paginated Reports & Dashboards

A large-scale gold mining operation, needed to transition away from their site supported SAP Business Objects framework to a corporately hosted Power BI environment. Due to the fact that the day to day running of the mine was heavily reliant on the current reporting; there was a requirement for this to be a smooth, tightly co-ordinated process with a high level of QA/UAT as well as highly responsive after care.

For a large-scale mining operation in the United Arab Emirates operating a fleet of over 100 trucks, the initial deployment of a Fleet Management System (FMS) represented only the first milestone in a broader technological journey. While the implementation of Wenco provided the necessary framework for basic fleet oversight, site leadership recognised the common industry challenge of utilisation diminishing once the initial rollout phase concludes. To prevent this, the operation sought and independent mining technology assessment which would provide practical insights and recommendations as to how they could sustain momentum.
